Bill Newton-Dunn, Liberal Democrat MEP for the East Midlands, will be visiting Japan this week. He will be part of a small delegation of MEPs, from across Europe, who will be visiting the Japanese Parliament, the Diet.
The overall visit aims to strengthen dialogue between Japan and the EU and strengthen cooperation on international issues and economic issues.
Bill urges any constituents or businesses in the East Midlands who have points they would like Bill to raise with the Japanese government to email him at billnewtondunn@aol.com because Western mobile phones do not work on Japanese networks.
On Tuesday 17 May, Bill will meet with Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro.
