Kick off this year's Christmas shop with something a little different.

This weekend (November 6-7) sees an Italian market come to the Market Square with delights for your Christmas cupboard.

Stalls include pasticcieri (bakeries) selling pane (bread), like focaccia and ciabatta, biscotti (biscuits), torta della frutta (fruit tarts) and dolci Italiani (Italian sweets).

Olive miste (mixed olives), vino (wine), formaggio (cheese), olio d'oliva (olive oil) and aceto balsamico (balsamic vinegar) will also be on sale.

Later in the month we will also be saying 'Wilkommen' to a German market, with us on the Market Square in the month leading up to Christmas. Anyone who has been to Birmingham, Manchester or Nottingham at Christmas will know that this is something really special for our town.
