Liz Pym has lived in the Daventry District area for 8 years.
She has brought up full-time a grand-daughter who is now 19 - have lobbied Parliament with the Northamptonshire Grandparents and Kinship Carers group to get better deals for full-time grand-parents and kinship carers.
She has recently retired after having worked for an international charity for 5 years.
Prior to this she has worked in higher education at a university, has taught in schools and worked in the civil service.
She is active in the community and is a member of the WI, local History Society, Breast Cancer Support group and active in the Methodist Church
.
She is well aware of the issues facing those living in villages and rural areas. She will take up issues such as planning, improved faster connections for broadband, ensuring high standards from the local district council and that the voice of the local people are heard by those in higher authority."
