Deborah has strong links with Nottingham South, and last stood to represent us at the European Parliament elections in 2014".

Deborah Newton-Cook has worked for Nottingham's interests since 1994 when she was selected to be Director of the Nottingham Brussels Office. In 1997 she was appointed an Ambassador for the City of Nottingham and continues in that role today.

Deborah said:

"As the Liberal Democrat Candidate I will be listening to Constituents' concerns and explaining our priorities for the next five years. The Liberal Democrats have a solid record of achievements in Coalition Government since 2010".

Deborah added:

"It was the Liberal Democrats who pushed through the pupil premium, bringing much needed extra money to schools serving lower income families in our Constituency. Likewise, raising the tax threshold to £10,000 has meant that hard working people get to keep more of their pay.

"The Conservatives and Chancellor George Osbourne resisted these changes, and Labour just sniped from the sidelines. UKIP, with no policies, had nothing to say. I am looking forward to taking on all Parties standing a candidate in the General Election".
