Lesley lives with her husband, John, in Pilham, near Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. She has lived in the Constituency for 25 years and has three grown up children.

She teaches at a local secondary school, where she is responsible for community development. She is passionate about education and ensuring that all children get the best start in life.

Lesley has been a West Lindsey District councillor for 8 years. She is West Lindsey's Champion for Sport and a former director of the Lincolnshire Sports Partnership.

Lesley was born in Leicestershire in 1957. She attended Bosworth College and then Dartford College of Physical Education.

In 2012 she became Mayor of Gainsborough - a post she held for two years. During this time she led the investigation which exposed huge failings in the Town Council. With a team around her, she led the council away from virtual bankruptcy to the healthy organisation it is today.

In 2013, she was elected to Lincolnshire County Council. She is a member of the Children's and Young People's Committee and the Lincolnshire Safeguarding board.

Lesley has a strong record of campaigning locally.

Recent campaigns include:

. Fighting for better bus services for rural communities.

. Campaigning for improved defences for areas affected by flooding.

. Improvements to rural broadband speed.

.Supporting local libraries facing closure.

Lesley is passionate about the NHS and would like to see doctors and medical professionals placed at the heart of all decision making in the NHS. She believes that for the health of our society to improve we need to create 'healthy infrastructure'.

'We need to make our country roads, our villages, our towns and cities, places where it is as easy as possible to walk, cycle and be as active as we can. Carrying on as we have been doing, is not an option'.

Lesley Rollings represents Thonock ward on West Lindsey District Council and East ward on Gainsborough Town Council of which she is chair.

Lesley Rollings is West Lindsey District Councillor for Thonock ward including the villages of Corringham, Blyton and Morton. Last year she led a successful campaign to have threatened bus services to Morton restored. Watch the Morton Bus video.

Lesley in her role as Mayor of Gainsborough has worked hard to create a framework involving business and the community that will bring economic benefits to the town and surrounding villages.

Lesley who lives in Pilham is married with three children and works as a teacher at Trent Valley Academy.

In working with both West Lindsey and Gainsborough Town Council Lesley has interfaced with Lincolnshire County Council, and seen both good and poor performance.
